About SYA Xplosion
Xplosion Fastpitch is a select travel softball program based in Northern Virgina. We are organized under the umbrella of the Southwestern Youth Association (SYA) Softball program which also conducts house leagues for girls from ages 5 thru 18.
The first Xplosion team took the field in September 2001. At this time we are six teams strong and are continuing to expand and improve our program each year. Each team's objective is to play in at least one national tournament.
Our teams have won numerous tournaments and have won berths to ASA Nationals, the NSA World Series and PONY Nationals. In 2004 we took the championship trophy at PONY Nationals and finished in the top third of all teams participating in ASA Nationals.
The Xplosion welcome players who are interested in playing fastpitch softball at the highest level of competition possible. Check our Tryouts link for information about current openings on our teams.
